Ohio Health Information Partnership Ohio has more primary care physicians (4,994) signed up to adopt electronic medical record systems through the Ohio Health Information Partnership than any other state. With $43 million in funding from the Office of the National Coordinator of HIT, The Partnership serves as both a Regional Extension Center and a Health Information Exchange, and is expected to sign up 6,000 providers. The Partnership’s founders are both public and private healthcare leaders who have a vested interest in its success: the Ohio State Medical Association, the Ohio Osteopathic Association, the Ohio Hospital Association, BioOhio, Inc., and the State of Ohio.
